Need rear shock for 2002 MXZ 600

I'm looking for a rear shock for a ski doo 2002 MXZ 600. Can't seem to locate one and the dealers say they are on back order for who knows how long. The stock shock is not a hpg shock but I'm not sure if the hpg is interchangable with what is on there now. In fact does anyone know why some of the 2002 sleds had the hpg shock and some did not?
