Need new skis any recommendations

new skis

I have rode with my stock polaris sidehiller 2's, had simmons(gen1), had slydog powder hounds(not impressed), and most recently i have slp powder pros. I really like the powder pros, they float very well, and turn when you want them to turn. they may be a little agressive for some people. I dont know about you, when i want to make a turn i dont want to wait for it to happen 5-10 feet later(slydogs powder hounds) havent rode with the simmons gen 2 but they look like clown feet, no thanks. We only ride off trail here, except to get where we are going, and i am impressed with the slp's.

The best powder ski for me have been the MODS.
I have been running them on every sled I owned since 2001.
Like you I want to turn now . I have tried many different skis on different sleds and always go back to MODS. Best down hill turnig ski IMO on setup snow. On trail they are ok no darting

Get the white ones like I did, you cant even see them in the snow;)

With the 1000 the powder pros give you pretty heavy steering. Just rode with a guy with the gen II simmons on his nytro, the front stayed up good, but it took a lot of effort to tip it on its side.

SLP Powder Pros with the Carl's Cycle mod w/ 6" to 8" carbides (depending on preference there)

Good in powder, do not kick back when in a sidehill, good on trail & do not dart, very responsive all the way around

slp powder pros are the only way to go. i have put over 40,000 miles on those skis and love them alot of the guides at togwotee will same the sae thing. we love them from riding the trail to deep powder
