Need more rpm on 07 clutch

07 X 159....5000' - 7000'

Was on clicker 3, sleds rips 8400 on the trail and hard crap. Get off the trail down to 7700-7800ish. Holds good, no fluctutation, but not enough. Warm clutch, but as cool as a TRA seems to get.

Clicker up to 5, only gain maybe 200rpm but now the clutch and belt get hot as hell. What do you think, drop some weight??

What is your exact settup, track length and altitude?

John Bud - thanks, that's a great read on this clutch system!

159" track 5000' - 7000' altitude. I'm not sure exactly what's in it...came from a dealer. I'll try to get some info from him, as I want to get more familiar with this clutching thing and get it running 100% in the powder.

200/320, 17-18g 44/36/purple, gear down to 19/47. Pull as much weight as it will hold at 82-8300 on a climb on clicker 5.

Winter Brew is right,,,, If your rpm is dropping off when it is loaded hard in a pull,... the gearing is too high.. Gear it down. this stuff is right in the ski doo racing manual. buy one and read it. It is a great resource..

Put an 06 clutch on my 07 XRS and no problems with the rpm dropping.
Pulls even and hard in powder or hard pack. We had tried eveything with that 07 clutch. My dealer has come through.
My motor crattered and I am back in business in just a 2 week wait.
The machine seems to have alot less vibes and just explodes out of the gates.

I am finally happy.
