Im jetting a 1992 ski-doo formula plusX 580? It came from wisconson, I'm in montana the sled is going to be around 3000 to 5000 feet. I just need a main jet size to start with and I can tune from there. It had #350 on the pto side and #380 on the mag side. I can't find specs on this thing and I'm not sure were to start. Any help would be great. Thanks Tim

That's as good a place as any to start. New plugs and check them often till you get the best setting. Jetting is more an art rather than a textbook thing. You have to keep on it, weather changes, so should jet's.

Don't let the split in jet size confuse you-the rotary valve motor will usually have a larger difference than reed valve or piston port engines. I would start with what you have dropping in increments of two.
