My Wifes 08 600 HO RMK Switch (non cfi)(Carb'ed) rides Mt Baker most of the time. It is stock except for SLP pipe nad SLP Can. It runs a 330 Main jet and seems rich. It runs fine but Plugs look black and if she lays it over on its side and even if she hits the kill button instantly it has to be started like a flooded sled with throttle held down and then the sled runs like it is loaded up. Only has about 400miles on it. Any advise...Any other 600 riders out there??

Sounds more like the pilot jet than a main jet issue. What pilots are in the carbs? Try running a size smaller. Maybey lean the needle out a position too.

I bought an 07 600 RMK 155 (carb) last year and noticed it seemed to run very rich as well. Sled has always run very strong for the 1600 miles I put on it last year, but is thirstier than our 08 700 155.

So far I have changed to 310 mains, gutted the airbox, gone to #1 on needle clip and 1/2 turn on the fuel screw. Still a little rich at bottom end.

I plan on going to a 40 Pilot Jet and a 1.0 Pilot Air Jet and 290 mains this winter.

Great sled, very fun to ride, hangs with the bigger sleds.

330 main jet, #2 needle setting, 50 pilot jet,Pilot .9 pilot air jet. Fuel screw .5 from fully seated.

It is very responsive out of the hole its just anytime she rolls it on its side or once when I did but she didnt see it..Pain in the rear to get started again....When I pulled the plugs this spring and at other times they are always very black and sooty.

Do you have stock intake vents? I put in 4, 2" flow rites in the intake track so air flow into the sled has close to 100% more.
