Need input about which 36" front end to get, if any

I just bought a 13 pro boondocker turbo. The sled has Burandt evol shocks and a Zbroz 39" front end. Is the 36" front end worth it for boondocking? I'm not much of a jumper. If a 36" is the way to go, which one is the way to go?

KMOD 37"!! Built nicely, and makes the sled 10X easier to carve and sidehill!! Also KMOD is awesome to deal with!!

I AM a fan of the narrow front suspensions on the ProRide's.... If you are a boondocker and like to ride technical stuff... IMO, you'll really like it.

Next season, I'm running the K-Mods. Great quality and excellent customer service.

Here's a little example about KMODS great customer service... A couple years ago rear raptor shock was bottoming out on my rear suspension; I called up Kevin about the problem.... I sent my shock to him, the seals needed replacing.... Also while he was at it he re-valved the shock to my weight and riding style for free!! Never had an issue again with bottoming out!!! That's the service you get with KMOD!!

What's the best place to buy Kmod stuff? Do they move the spindle forward or are they just narrower? Can I use stock spindles and shock length?

All of his contact info is on his website or you can PM him on here. The spindle isn't moved forward, just inward. Yes, you can use stock spindles and shocks (as long as they are the '13 or newer Pro-RMK shocks). I believe he'll have them set up very soon to accept Fox shocks.

Ok, I'm like a born again noob... I've been out of the game for 3 seasons, but just picked up a 13 Vohk built sled for a killer deal. The only thing it doesn't have is a narrow front end. It looks like the KMOD is quite a bit more money that ZBROZ? Is it worth the extra money?

I run both zbroz and kmod stuff. Both good companies.

As I understand it the kmod is more money largely because you do not have to re use your stock ball joints. I just installed a kmod 37 kit on my axys and it was a joy to install. Fit perfectly, product is great quality. Also I believe kmod has a $100 off special on their front end currently.

I leaned towards kmod because his front end is designed for stock length shocks. And he sure seemed like a nice fella on the phone.

Z-Broz mount up with stock shock lengths for '13 and newer sleds too. But if you want to cut them down, Andy, at gasshockrepair.com, will do a pair for about $100. I'm a Z-broz user. Can't go wrong with either. However, if you have the stock shocks, you may want to put stiffer springs on (the Assault RMK springs are perfect) to keep from darting to the sides. You'll tip over a lot before you get a feel for how easy it is to control. So, have patience.

Also consider availability. I don't know which a-arms are more available, but consider the possibility of a stump eating an arm and how soon you can get a new one when you're on vacation.

I found 36" wide too narrow, I expect the KMOD would be great.

You didn't ride it enough. That's like saying a stand up jetski is too tippy. Took me about 4 full days to get the hang of 36" arms and I'll never go back.

99% of the time I love my 36" on my axys. The other 1% the snow is crappy and I'm trying to be lazy.

OP, I went with the Alt Impact setup. No complaints. Did bend one arm, but you can't expect the "breakable" ends to be fool proof. I carry extra ends just in case.

What exactly do the offset spindles do? What's the cost difference?

Narrows your skis like you want. Handles better than short a-arms. Plus you don't have to cut or replace anything and can keep your stock A-Arms, shocks, and steering rods. Also are about half the cost of a Kmod.

If you do go shorter a-arms Alt Impact has the best in terms of cost ,ease of install and quality.

That may be a very viable option. A lot of money for two spindles though!
