Need ideas on M8 setup

I've purchased an 07 M8 SP stock and I'm looking for some guidance on clutching. My elevation is 1100 feet, but we get some pockets of deep snow. Any recommendations for weights, springs and helix would be appreciated, and any other improvements as well. :beer;

I run 73g weights, 42-36 cat helix, stock springs, slp pipe and run usually over 6000 feet, and it runs great and pulls hard. Bet you could easily run the 44-40 cat helix down low and it would run awesome.

Thanks rz. My chart says to run 75g weight at low elevation, that's quite a jump up from the stock weight, hope I can pull that to 7800 rpm.

Sickest low elevation set up is a 48/42 helix open ended with dalton billet end cap and goodwin's blue/yellow secondary spring.

Next to that and I am just starting to test this X-1 kit from M&M motor sports. This kit looks to be the trick for these DDrives. With the rear of the sled in the air my RPM's with no load will only hit 6800. When I put the torque feed back of heavy snow on it she hit 8000 and pulls 8200 with a 044 belt and 10" secondary. This thing pulls like a train and it is only a 600.

Open up the spider cup or drop in some friction shims. This will bring out the demons in your sled.

Don.

M8 weights

Last year I spent the $ 200 on the Rktec adjustable, Great set up I ride @ 0 to 3000, but for one week ride @ 9000, you can dial in your RPM quick on the trail
