Need help with OVS Dragon 700!!!

*Edited since I talked to OVS on the phone. I'll just fill in the blanks here...

1. Do I need to cut off the stock exhaust can plate on the bottom near the chaincase? No, exhaust exits shock tower.

2. It looks like the orientation of this turbo is with the compressor intake straight up in the air. What is everyone using for a filter element, HKS? The compressor faces rear

3. Does the fuel pressure regulator delete the fuel filter? No

4. Is it normal to have oil seeping out of the turbo housing on an aerocharger if you're handling it? A little but not too much

5. What needs to be done with the stock pipe, and does anyone have any measurements on what needs to be cut/welded on it? Each sled is different and each needs its own custom cutting/welding of the pipe for both sides.

I dont think they made any polaris kits with the intake straight up,, and yes there ar two brass plugs in the inlet one has a small hole for a breather,, oil will leak out there ,, Make dam shure you lock tight these in,,, ask me how I know!!!! You shure you dont have one of steve Packers Kits ,,I belive his intakes were up, there are oil wicks that need to be positioned correctly for oriantiation.

This picture might help. If not, go to the Aerocharger website www.aerocharger.com , click on the turbo kits link at the top of that page, then click on the Polaris Dragon link, then on the "Turbo Doc Inc. Polaris Dragon Aerocharger Kit" link. I DO NOT recommend going to the HM Turbo link you will see on this same page (personal experience with customer service issues). Turbo Doc will be your best bet BY FAR to get good information...especially if it is his kit you are using...again, personal experience.

I hope this helps...

Cheers!

Was looking at what needs welded/cut on the pipe and it looks like you could cut the spring connection off the pipe/flange at the turbo and weld a 90 right on to the pipe/flange that is bolted to the turbo. This would delete the spring connection there and any possible leaks. Taking the pipe off would involve taking the 4 bolts off the turbo flange, but I see no reason for this to be a problem of any kind when working on the RMK 700...

Looks like we could just leave the pipe as is on the other end and use 4 springs to connect to the 4 bolt flange on the Y pipe.
