First night out in the mountains LOL...Made it about 5-6 miles down the road and after the rear axel bolt broke, and that side of the axel pulled towards the engine, and destroyed the rear wheels( LOL) SOMEHOW,

the braided line on my rear shock of the suspension was pulled out at the fitting (fabcraft suspension). It's a fox float with a nitrogen resovior( there was some oil in it too...but I think it's nitrogen). Anyways the air part works, but it sags out with no rebound....can I just plug off the shock where the line went into the shock, and ride it for a day, or will I wreck the shock?

Going out to retrieve her in the am(if I can find some wheels), and hopefully ride part of the day.

Thanks for any help.

I cant see how that would hurt the shock.. Im sure your going to send it off to be rebuilt now anyways!

You will probably not hurt the shock, but the nitrogen loss will cause the shock to rebound too fast and could damage other parts of the suspension or even you. I would plug it off and get her home and rebuild the shock. When you put a new axle and wheels in make sure that the black plastic spacers are pointed the right way. They should have a hole drilled in one side and your adjuster bolt goes into this hole. I have seem some backward and cause a failure like you have had.
