need help with a mid range bog

K

knee deep in it

2006 600 rmk with a union bay ported engine, bored carbs, v force 3 reeds, slp single pipe.

I have been fighting this since the engine got installed. A mid range, it will bog a bit before cleaning itself up. I can't get full revs from it as well. We raised the needle jet but that didn't help.

Plugs are good at WOT, maxed out at 7900 rpm. (almost a little lean so I don't want to lean it out any more), exhaust valves are oil covered but dont appear completely foiled.

Oil pump is good (1st tank had premix as well), reeds are good, belt is good (not too hot).

When i am coming back to the staging area, when i drop the throttle, it will go into the MMMMRRRRRR bogging noise and then clean up a second or so after I give it throttle.

any ideas? clutching maybe??
