Need Help With 2008 M1000

Yesterday my sled started having a flat spot.
When I peg the throttle at 35 to 40 mph only I get a short bog. It only happens at that speed. Any idea's???:confused: Happens in the powder and hard pack. Thanks.


The sled has SLP Pipe, Can, Y Pipe and SLP Air kit. I am also using SLP's latest map numbers
 
Any specific rpm mine was rich at 5000.I am running 00s in all untill 7200 then I use slp #s and it works good might be a little rich at 7800 still working that out.

Around 5K . The new map went from 05 MID Range at 5K to SLP's new number of 02 at 5K. Might be power valve to, I'm going to look at that Monday

i also have the same nightfire with the same mods and at my level if you are using the pure logic box there is no way to eliminate this i am switching over to boondocker because you can lean them out more an di have it on my M7, these M1000s run rich in mid RPM range
 
I have a boondocker. Its wierd because the first 500 miles on the sled it was fine, this problem just started this weekend.

my dealer told me they are recalling your boxes and traiding them out with new ones because of issues with lights ign. and speedo problems. all 07 and 08 m series. I am not just tryong to start a roomer either.
 
what boxes

which boxes are you talking about bds or ecu

in that rpm change your number up or down 1 at a time, test it and do it again just make sure you don't go to lean
mine did something similar i change one number and adjusted my trim one number and its been fine ever since. i don't really know, i may have just got lucky
 
Cat is NOT recalling all boxes, promise. There is a handful of 800 ones that they are, but that is it. They have the fix for the light/reverse not working, the dealer should have that.
 
Talked to my dealer today, he advised me that a new map will be out this summer to hopefully fix the problem
 
pull the y pipe off AND LOOK IN THE CYLINDERS for aluminum on the jugs. any Boondocker failures while wide open and you lose the cylinder. hard to see inside the spark plug hole even with a borelight
