Need Help trying to sell a 900 Polaris

I know they have a terrible rep. but I am trying to sell a 06' 900 RMK 166" with about 800 miles. Has all the updates and some goodies. Will it ever sell or should I just give up and ride it till' it dies? I have it for sale for $5200 OBO - it looks brand new and reallly rips. Any ideas from anyone would be great and much appreciated! I have it in the paper and on two websites.

I guess we need to ask why you want to sell? Are you looking to step up to something newer? Do you need the cash? IMO for as capable as a sled as it should be, i would probably hang onto it, you'll never get any decent money out of it.

As you know those sleds don't have the greatest reputation, coupled with the fact the economy is crap, your going to take a HUGE loss on it if you want/need to sell. I know up here in washington we have hardly any snow, so that is hurting sales as the season appears to be over ....

you won't get $5200

I had about $15k into mine and sold it for $5800 2 years ago

ditto,

I have mine still and would be lucky to pull 5k and have just as much as listed above in it. Sled rips and newer sleds wont pull same lines but as for resale..........if yours is stock you are looking at 3500-4000 bux.

One of my buddies has an 05 166 with 200 miles on it still under warranty that he was asking 4500 for last winter. I would bet its around 4000 this year.

yeah, unless you need the money, ride it till it dies, thats just how its gonna be, you might get 4500 if your lucky.... such is life. it sucks for those who got good ones as they still have a bad rap even though they tend to be awsome ones.

Yep.

Polaris made good ones, and they made some not good ones. Never really know.

Good news for those buying them, they rip when they run right and they're cheap. Bad news, you'll have it till it dies, whether that's 1k mi or 10k mi.

I bought mine last December for $5500. It had everything done to it you can do as far as engine mods from SLP.

I put about $2000 in it after I bought it and left it alone.

Some ******* came along and stole most the stuff of the sled so it was totaled. Insurance gave me $4200 and then I bought what was left for $900. I then parted it out selling the engine for $1800, chassis for $550, and a few other things.

In the end I made money off of it not counting the $2000 I spent on clutches, front fenders, bumpers, and a few other things. :D

PART IT OUT!

Quit your *****in' and ride it till it dies or.........sells! LOL
Seriously do what you can but it seems a little high $wise.
E-Bay seems to be succesfull ?

Man am I glad I didnt keep the 900 shop demo when we sold the dealership! What a boat anchor these things are turning out to be!
