Hi guys.

Have previously owned a 2003 Ski-doo Summit 800, and this season i bought a 2006 RMK 700 151". I was REALLY happy with my RMK, and it worked very well for me.

Until.. i seized the engine about a month ago. Im still waiting for the last parts from my dealer to do the rebuild.

So, what im wondering about.. What would you guys do?

Keep the RMK, upgrade it a bit, a can, air filter kit, and so on. (Since i now get a rebuilt engine anyways..)

Or should i sell it, and go for a 4-stroke. It would probably be a Yamaha Nytro if i decide to change sled.

Share your toughts!
Im wondering day and night about this..

fix it, keep it.

When people that dont do their own work, is the first answer always selll it and buy something new??

I do my own work on everything, and keep everything til I dont like it. Not sell it cause it broke at one point. I dunno.

The reason i don't fix it myself, is because i still have warranty on the sled. So the rebuild shouldnt cost me a thing

Hehe. Im seriosly considering a 4stroke next season. Wont be that much of a price jump anyways..

And the durability... oh that must be great

after my sled died on me, i rented nytro, it ride great, good shocks, good balance, but i pefer 2 storke.. not 4 storke. next day i rented apex.. didnt like it.
nytro would work better for ya.

nytro would work better if you like the rider forward position. I had the 08 anniversary edition with EVERYTHING...look at the pics and tell me what I missed...I personally am going back to the 2 stroke lighter way of doing things.I KNOW the boosted power of the 2 versus the 4 will not be the same:):):):),but I will be willing to give that up for the extra handling. When I go back to 4 stroke it will be with the yami, but probably a vector or apex, The rider forward position and I do not get along. I am going to give the cat m-8 with boost a chance and then maybe move up to the 1300 boosted. 375 hp and light weight is always an option. My first real LOVE was a cat...1974 free air e El tigre..$1550.00 full cost with gauges ..Slight difference from today:face-icon-small-dis

My RMK with full gas tank, and oil weights about the same as the nytro. So that shouldnt be a issue.

A friend of mine has the Nytro, and ive tried it a couple of times. Its not like riding the RMK, but with some mods im sure it will work out just fine for me. :)
