need help settling a bet

how fast was levi going when he went off the ramp to do the double back flip trick? buddy says he was going 15-20 mph. I say he's high and levi would have to be going much faster to complete the trick. I would think that 40-50 would be the speed needed to go 50 feet up and 60 feet out.

Target speed to the BASE of the ramp was 15-20....then nail it up the ramp. so....you are both correct. He was going faster than 20 when he LEFT the ramp, but was shooting for 15-20 approach speed. It is the acceleration that brings the flip. If he weld it constant, there would be no revolution to the sled. if he hit the base faster, he could not get the needed acceration to get the rotation for a double. Have to hit the base waaay slower for a double than a single.
