first unbolt the speedometer on the clutch side, its the little black triangle thing under the below the secondary clutch. then drain chaincase oil, take it apart. I used zip ties to hold the bushings and washers to the gears so I knew the right order to put them back in. Once the gears are out, you can take off the back part of the chaincase which holds in the drive shaft. when all that is out, the drive shaft falls out. It helps to ave a notebook to make sure you put it all back together right. Good luck
