Need help. Palisades Res. by Alpine

My family and I went and stayed at palisades last year and loved it there. We stayed at the campground that is by the boat ramp that is by the Dam. Well the kids want to go back but the campground is full. Where can we stay? I have a 36' 5th wheel toy hauler and a 20' boat. I was told there is some good spots on the east side of the lake if you cross the river on the south end of the lake and then follow the shore to the north?

Any suggestions would help tremendously. Thanks

try to go to upper McCoy creek camp ground, there is a boat ramp there and its a great place to camp. It is where you were told to go on the south side off the lake. Drive through alpine headed south about one mile south of town there will be a big pull out and i sign posted McCoy Creek. Turn righ and follow that road for probably 8 miles or so. The camp ground will be on your right. Its gravel.my buddy pulls his 25' boat with a mega cab long bed in there all the time.
