Need help on a Team Secondary

I have an 08 Rev XP with an 885 Big Bore. I have switched jackshafts in order to accept other secondary clutching. I ordered a Team Secondary set up with the recommendations of the supplier. It came with a Black/White Spring (160-260) and a 420767 Helix (48-44ER F 46-42ER F). With this set up there is good performance out of the hole and in mid range. But under load climbing the RPM of the sled drops by 400 rpm. Through different settings on the TRA I was unable to correct the RPM reduction. I changed the spring to a Black/Red (155-122). With this spring the hole shot is good but the mid range is linear in power (Let off the power and hit WOT it is slow to react) but I was able to hold RPM climbing. There are so many helix and spring options I am not sure where to go from here. I e-mailed Team last week and have yet to get a response. Any ideas?

Looks like you have a fully progressive helix with 2 cuts-you don't say which one you are running. You are describing a lack of backshift. A stiffer spring might help or else you need a different helix. You went the wrong way with the black/red spring, might try the black/silver 160-280. Might also try the other angle in the helix.
The helix seems strange to me. With that engine you should be able to pull a much steeper initial angle and I'd run a partial progressive. I ran a 56-42 on an 800R last year. If you can't get it with your existing setup try Team # LW420493**64-44-.46 & 64-42-.46. This is a partial progressive so the steep angle is progressive for .46" of the 1.125" shift. (i.e. goes from 64 to 44 during the first .46" of travel) The last .665" is straight cut making for a better backshift.
You don't say what elevation or type of riding-maybe some one else will have input for you if they know the application.

I'm also trying to figure out a team set up for the Xp. What primary spring and wieght did you run last year on your 800R. I'm currently trying the 54-42-36 helix and was getting belt slip in secondary. I ordered the 180-300 secondary spring to try and hold it. I ride 8,000' climbing mostly.

Spring

The spring I was referring to was on the secondary and my gearing is 20/45. With this I am delivering a track speed of 49-54 mph (Varies with type of powder and on or off the juice). My primary is weighted up to 18.3 grams and has a blue/blue (130-290) spring. Primary works great. I am trying to find the secondary setup that will both shift good so that I have throttle response through the entire power band and capable of holding it under load climbing. Team still hasn't responded to an e-mail sent last Thursday and I get recordings when I call them. I do not want to spend a bunch of time and money trying different set ups of springs and helixes and getting stuck with a bunch of combinations that won't work. I have put the stock secondary back on for this weekend to see how it reacts. I also know that the 06 Summit X secondary will work great with a different Spring. I am looking for one of those. I am hoping that someone on snow west knows what I should do with this team before I give up. I am considering Ron's recommendations and hoping to get some agreement from other riders.
