Need help on 06 M7 oil injection adj.

I need some advice on how to adjust the oil injection on my M7. It burns about three quarts every fifty miles. I just bought the sled late last spring and just now have enough snow to figure out its problems. I have the injection pump exposed and the jam nut loose. According to the image in the mirror the marks are lined up. I can't get the adjustment nut to turn. Is there a trick to this adj? Does the plastic end pop off the arm on the pump or am I missing something.

to adjust the m7 you need to pry the rod off at both ends then once out, lengthen the rod in one full turn increments to lower the oil amount.its been some time now, but i checked my stock ratio when i had a m7, and it was like 25-1.it took 2 or 3 turns on mine to get down to 38-1.

if you havent figured your ratio, but you are certain its over oiling, go just one turn first time out, and check your ratio when done to see if you need to go further...mm
