need help on 04 rev

my buddy blew up his 2004 rev 800 and was wondering what kind of pistons to put in it.. any suggestions would be helpfull.... thanks

OEM is fine but there are many alternatives that work just as well if not better. Most problems people have are self inflicted whether they admit it or not.

I have used SPI on several 800's never been a problem. Made to OEM specs.

I put oem's back in mine. The sides of the pistons were teflon coated or something sililar. They looked sweet and I talked to a guy who has raced skidoos for years and he swears by the stock pistons.

MCB, Cudney, BJ among others sell a dual ring piston that pretty reasonably priced. I think you can get a whole top end kit for $250-300. I did see some on E-bay also.

Put the ones they put in the 06's and you will smile I blew up my 05 pistons, then found out this was an issue from 03-05. Put stock 06 pistons and was trouble free and smiling!
