NEED HELP Mcx 09 Nytro Shorty track clearance issues

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and the sled to be honest. I've done a lot of research over a few different forums but can't seem to find the right answer for my specific sled, 09/shorty/turbo
I have a 2009 nytro with a rear mount mcx 180 kit on it. The previous owner was running a 1.25" track with studs and the studs chewed the aluminum bar and the tunnel protectors chewed the track up pretty good where they should be notched... my question is I would like to run a bigger lug track no studs like a 1.75" or minimum 1.5" (if I absolutely can't go to 1.75")

If the tunnel protectors are hit the track now what's gonna happen with a bigger lug? Let alone the aluminum bar. Is the suspension possibly an issue? I know people say you have to remove the protectors for 1.75" but then the turbo is exposed??? I know I can do smaller drivers like 8 tooth but that only helps clearance at the front cooler which I'm not concerned about, can't find anything on people doing drop brackets or mtx rear brackets

How do guys with shorty's and turbo run loose tracks with anti ratchets or put big lug tracks then???

I was also hoping to put a star suspension 128" relocate in as well and then go to a 128x1.75x15 track but will the locate effect anything help or make worse?? Has anyone done this

Thanks glad to be apart of this forum community!

Took a few pictures for you while tackling some other gremlins.

I've got an 09 mtx mcx 240. 9100 miles. I'm in Michigan so the 153" was too much. I opted for an Apex monoshock skid, which is 137". When I first set it up I hated it. We're obviously front heavy on these things and the front end geometry was/is obviously lacking.

So I ended up mounting the front of the skid about an inch lower than what it should have been to help take weight of the front end. Then I added aftermarket spindles I forget the name but some guy out west makes them and has similar effect as zbros with the stock a arms. Fwiw I did run a zbros front end on mine for a year, I couldn't get used to it, tried a few different shock setups with fox float 2's and i just never was impressed with it. So I went back to stock arms and aftermarket spindles.

Driver wise go with the skidoo drivers introvert and extrovert / anti ratcheting. These drivers are from 08 thru 15 skidoos.

I would think proper track adjustment and tension would have been your issue, I've never had an issue with these. As for clearance I'm running 1.25" lugs, no studs, no tunnel protectors. 1.5" will be no issue.

Dan
