need help jetting 800r

i have a 07 xrs 800r the engine already has a hps can on it . Iam installing a slp head on it as most of you know the main jets are a pain in the azz to get to so i want to try to get it right the first time .I ride from 4500 to 9000 foot the carbs. have 470 mains now .slp said to jump 3 jets and pull the needle up one noch . 3 jets is alot

XRS I ride with has same settup and started with 500's, ended up at 490's....not sure where his needle is but 1 richer should be safe.
