need help extroverts on 1m

i put extroverts with the 3.00 pitch on my 03 900. Also added anti stab kit. I know the rails need to be trimmed but it looks like alot!!! I bought the smaller end caps for the rails, but even then right now my rails are hitting the inside of the drivers, not even coming close to clearing the extroverts. how far back have you guys had to trim to make these clear?

Did you go aftermarket or the exvolute drivers that came on '05 and '06 king cats?

Seams like I had to trim about 1/2 inch off mine. Just make sure you cut it at the same angle that they are cut from the factory. I also had to notch the end caps so they would slip over the hyfax.

i went with the wahl bros, drivers. So if i cut the rails that far back then what holds the hifax in place??

I only cut a half an inch off. The hyfax doesn't move. But you have to notch the rail cap and then the cap bolt goes through the square hole that the nut from the hyfax is in. I will try to get you some pics tomorrow.

Of course I am not running wahl bros. I cant remember what mine are but they are not stock arctic cat. Also I might be running a smaller driver, what size of driver are you running?

I've got an early build '05 KK that didn't have extros. When I lost a bearing I decided to go with the exvolute drivers from the later builds. I bought the new style end caps and haven't determined it I can get away with just the cap swap yet.

Here is a pic of my EB rails, EB end caps, and exvolutes. Based on the pic there is no way I can cut anything off my rails and drill a new hole without getting into the hifax window. The new end caps are at least 1/2" shorter so I'm hoping that works.

I took a piece of hyfax and radius ea. end. Then cut the ends of the rail on both sides into a shallow V at the end. Placed two notches for the I shape of the rail. Drilled hole in hyfax to match the stock hole location. Gives about 1.75" extra room. Hope this may help?
