Does anyone besides Impulse make a mid-mount turbo for a Nytro? Also I need a little refresher on the pros and cons of both the mid-mount and seat mount systems. I would appreciate any help before I drop $6-7000 on a system. Thanks :confused:

NW turbos makes a mid mount, and just released it with a custom trail tank....so, larger tank than stock, and signifianct improvements over last years kits...

is a system designed for the person who does not want to mess around with stuff...just wants to get on and ride and smile...

Thanks MT. A few of my friends run Impulse and the NW website was good. I'd like to see some pics of an installed kit on a Nytro.

Not trying to be a d!ck but what do you mean? I have an Impulse kit and with the chart that Paul sent me the only thing I had to adjust was the clutch weight's (Off by 2 grams for 18 #) I didn't have to do anything else but try not to kill my self with all the POWER!!!! the Prologger and Pure Logic were pre set by Paul for Boost level and altitude i needed. And customer service is top notch.

On another note, My buddy Travis is running a MPI stage 2 supercharger @ 16-17 # and with my turbo @ 12 # were side by side in the first 25-40 ft after that it all over for the supercharger. With his set up and MPI's product that sled pulls really hard out of the hole! We both have timber Sus. The only big difference (besides Turbo/Super) is he has the CE and I have the A20 (in HC position) track and I love the way it work's on my sled.:D

no bad intention taken...lots of people pushing big boost are always tinkering etc. and that is what really got me moved away from big bores etc. tired fo futzing with things...

lots of people want reliable consistent...which is what attracted most of us to Yamaha...Some are having to play with their kits a lot if they get them from some people and not others...which tells you one thing, there is some level of finesse you ahve to have to play with this stuff....

it is NOT a slam on the kits, or on certain peoples kits...merely more of a warning to dig into whatever kit you get....

hard to beat the value of the Alpine kit. All of the turbo parts plus a larger fuel tank and a lightweight seat. If you factor in the exchange rate to US dollars thats an even better deal.

I guess I will give my 2cents here as well for the impulse kit. Paul is top notch and his product also. One of the first ever mods that I have done and clutching and fuel setup so close that you did not have to mess with. I just put in what he told me to and rode and never had to touch a thing, and ran soooo impresive. And anyone who will call me back at 9pm on a friday night to answer a question on the install so I can ride the next day is going the extra mile to support his product. Not bashing any other system just been extremely happy with the impluse product and support. If you do decide to go with impulse you will NOT be disappointed.:beer;

I second that, Paul goes above and beyond in the customer service area and his kit and parts are top notch. Can't wait to get my sled on the snow!

3rd that. If you do any time searching on Impulse kits you will find this time and time again.

surprise no one mentioned MCX. I'm pretty sure everyone will agree they have the longest history for the most reliable kit.

did they come out with a mid mount?

here are some pics of my NWTurbos mid mount kit...

to my knowlwedge it is the only mid mount with a cast Exhaust manifold, and while he was at it did a cast downpipe...very nice fit and finish with custom TrailTank Mid Mount Turbo Tank (just over 8 gallons)...

I agree totally....2400kms on my sled with boost and after reading some issue with other kits I would have thrown in the towel. Our windows to ride are very short so when its time.....its time....havent missed a minute of riding time with this kit.....:D
