I'll take any advice you guys can give me, I'm coming off a polaris Dragon and just bought this M8, Its got a Y pipe, D&D pipe, MBRP can, Timbersled intake and a BD box which I am slowly learning about. I dont have the stock intake for it. I rode it today at Whistler and it was bogging real bad all the way up the trail I could barely keep it running but when we got higher up it ran alot better with just a little bog. If I take the pipe off could I lose the BD box so I dont have to mess with it or do I need it with the other mods, I would also like to add the RKT 15 HP head, thanks for any help

Sounds like lean bogg. Use the BD Box to add fuel. Adding some fuel will fix it or eliminate lean as a problem. WIN WIN situation.

I was going to say the same thing. Nice thing about the box, take about 30 seconds to adjust and shes a done deal. Good luck and let us know how it works.

I bet you are too rich for the elevation. If the previous owner had any settings loaded into the BD box, and you are starting off at Whistler, I'm sure you are starting at less than 5k. I had the exact same thing happen to me recently when I was trying to run a higher elevation Speedwerx pipe with BD fuel settings provided by SW, was too rich and bogging real bad until it fouled plugs. Stripped off the BD box, changed to the stock pipe, and bingo runs like a champ!

If he was too rich the bog would only get worse as he went up in elevation, not better.

Sorry but the sled is stored at my buddies house, I will try to get out there this week, thanks for the info though

If you ride Whistler this weekend... probably Sunday for me as it is a little icy up there and we need snow .. I would be happy to help you in the morning with your BD box. Should not take more than a few minutes :)

Just pm me if interested

I was just looking at your rides on your post there klimbing kitty I think we were parked on the right side you last weekend at whistler, we were checken out your TM8 I think you said you build bridges, we had the 3 dragons and me on my black M8

I would say lean, as you get more air down low. But don't forget clutching. What are you running. Have you tried a new belt. Down low you have more power and if it is clutched for high elev. the helix may be to shallow. I would start with fuel though. You can adjust the belt tension and it may tell you what is going on.(if its not a fuel problem)
