i will start my sled and my RPMS will be way down and my sled will shut off any ideas on how to adjust my idle or any other suggestions

Will this effect going into reverse, or on a cold start will it make the sled want to move? due to the throttle pos sensor? Im riding with greg this week, just want to make sure, can it really be that easy?

Yes, idle issues can will cause no reverse however, the sled wanting to move, roll, engage cold is a completley different problem and that is clutching. as for the idle problem, the first and easiest thing to check is the throttle cable adjustment which is about 6 inches below the throttle block. too much slack in the cable or not enough can cause different issues.

The next common thing would be TPS adjustment. This is a little more involved. There is a thread in the sticky Increasing your IQ that should be read. There is no phillips screw to adjust, it is an allen and an 8mm or 5/16" nut and this is set with a TPS adjustment tool to make sure it is precise.

The next thing to cause a low idle is a partially torn intake boot which cause a huge vacuum leak. I see them start cracking at 1,500-2,000 miles

Sounds like this sled needs a little maintenance.

more then likely it is your tps (throttle position sensor). you will have to take it to a dealer to have it adjusted. and do not turn that screw in the middle that is your carb Synchronization screw.

The sled only has about 500 miles on a new motor. it keeps happening and i haven't adjusted anything yet. It really makes me frustrated because the sled will shut down when i don't give it any gas and it leaves me in a predicament. so miles isn't really the problem on it but yet it does need maintenance to it or just need to get rid of it
