Need help, 06 Summit backfires while running

Rode deep powder today, sled started backfiring and idling very rough. Then it wouldn't run at all. Changed plugs and found that the machine was not getting any fuel. Put a capful of fuel down the left cylinder and got it to run. Ran good for the trip home, but when we shut it down at the end of the day, and restarted, it started to backfire again and run very rough. We retried the cap full of fuel in the cylinder again and no difference. We checked the computer module plug and it was dry. Both times the display would flash the little engine sysmbol and beep constantly. Any thoughts. Would like to get this fixed so we can ride again tomorrow. Now it won't run above 3,000 RPM ...just cuts out

Its your DESS tether. clean any moisture out of it and make sure its getting good contact. Friends 07 was doing it today. hes going down to get another tether made.

Yeah, we tried that already. No luck. We're going to put some Stabil in the gas, thinking there may be some water in there.

Nope highark is 100% correct, put that tether over the heater vent in your house over night You can't just blow it out, it has to be dry, now in the mornin go out and try it walla it runs.

Then go get yourself an extra for 30 bucks or so they shouldn't charge ya to program it, Or if you have two ski doos you can have them programed together.

Now another buddy has just taken the little springy thingy,out completly and has never had a problem He also has two other buddies that have done this.

I have the tether over the heater, what springy thing are you refering to? The square tin piece in the tether itself?

Anyone ever tried usung dielectric grease inside the DSS cap? We were just talking about it, thinking it would work.

Dialectric grease at least 2-3 times a year or every time it gets pulled(once gotten back home or inside the trailer). Doesn't take alot otherwise you are just asking for a mess. rpmbci.

Yea that what I was talkin about, I thik the dialectric grease would most definatly help, But i will never ride a doo without a spare ky ever again, I sat for 4 hours while I listened to , and watched my buddies play around, Fiddled with the darn thing all day, Finally it let me go so I cught up woth my buds, and never shut it off, Til we dropped in to a point of no pullin out, and i got to playin and got greedy, rolled it and it died, Had to leave it there overnight, Took the teather home dried it, and brought my buddies comp, and teather just in case, Didn't need it, sled started on third pull and off for a great ride!!!!

Appreciate the help everyone, dried the DESS key out overnight, and next morning it fired up and ran great all day.
