Need feedback on future of Naneum/Colockum

I'm part of a recreation plan committee for the future of DNR and DFW land from the Naneum to the Columbia. I'd like to get feedback from fellow sledders on how you'd like to see this Forest managed; what it is lacking, what you like about it and want to make sure isn't changed, etc.

We aren't in danger of losing any significant riding area here. This committee is looking at how this area should be managed/developed over the next 20 years, summer and winter.

Plan info:

Thanks!

That is a very interesting area and probably quite complicated, with; multiple ownership, unique geography, wildlife considerations, and all types of land use issues.

I have no specific suggestions other than I’m glad we have someone like you there on the committee. Let us know if you need support.
Thanks!

BINGO!! X2

Thank you for your time and effort on this Jeff.

Suggestions

Since this is one of my favorite areas in Central WA, I have a few ideas. I know/have met most of the people on the planning committee and I think you guys will do a good job.

1)The Coleman/Clockum area has only fire roads, a network of single track trails for dirtbike & horses would be great! Something similar to what the Reccer Creek area has.

2) A small Sno-Park would be a good addition. Access is generally through Coleman. Reccer already has a sno-park but changing it to a two lane setup would be sweet.

3) Coleman is a VERY popular area to go shooting. A range area might be a good idea.

4) Camping areas in the Coleman & Clockum & Reccer areas would be a good addition.

Thanks. Keep 'em coming.

FYI, Reecer is USFS access. The DNR/DFW State land is generally Naneum and east. We could definitely use better, permanent access to the State land from the Kittitas Valley side.

My apologies, I thought Reccer was part of this.
