I have a 04 rev 800 144 and this weekend when riding it for the second time this season I found that I have a dead spot at 6000-6400 rpm's other then that it runs very good, any ideas?
Sounds like you might have some crap in one of the jets. I was on a friends XRS first ride of the season, It was doing the same thing. Sure enough a jet a crud in it.
