Need advise on a Helix

Put in an order for a 66-46-46 helix for a TSS-98 and supplier indicated that they had a 66-44-46 helix available. When the helix arrived it stated 66-44-42 E (.46/.25/.25) on the box Part #420719. Supplier says this has the same .46 finishing rate as requested.
Anyone know if what he is saying is correct or not.

He is wrong, you got the 719 helix 66-44-42 are the angles and .46/.25/.25 are the length of the angles. It is a 3 angle helix. It isn't same as the one you ordered. If you wanted the 66-46-.46 then I would return it and have him order the right one at no extra cost. On other threads here said team will custom cut helix for tss-98 if they are out of stock for $109.

Thanks for that info.

I guess the big question is will the 66-44-42 be a suitable replacement for a stock 151" 05 RMK used mostly on the flatlands. I currently do not blow belts and am using the 80 belt. Thought I had read that the last angle determined the amount of force on your belt at higher speeds.

I am currently running the same 719 on an '06 Fusion 900 121" track. I have found the first 2 angles are a big improvement over the stock helix 62-42-.46 which reduced the belt heat and stronger pull from bottom to mid range but the finish angle is same as stock. Am currently using 11-76 weights and do not want to get another set of weights so just found a 66-44-.46/70-44-.46 helix off of ebay and just waiting for that. Am currently hitting a bit too high rpm's so wanted to try different helix instead of weights and got the helix with higher finish to get rpms a bit down and am hoping for a better pull on top end also.

EDIT- I 'd say keep that since you already have it to see which one works better for you and get this one here http://www.holzracingproducts.com/index.php/sled/classifieds/ - (2) Team Helix, 66-44-.46/ 64-40-.46. For use in TSS-98 clutch: $50

better hurry though there is not only 2 of them and @ a great price. (if they still have them)
