Coming out to Salt Lake City next December from Michigan. Looking to do a day or two of mountain riding. Like on trail riding and off trail powder. Don't have the b""lls from hill climbing. Would really appreciate advice on area to ride and were to rent sleds. Also open to renting a guide if they can show us back country. Thanks in advance for any info!

I would be happy to show you around and could probably round up a few others to ride with us. Uinta Recreation is the place to rent. They are located in Heber about an hour from SLC.

If I were you I'd check out Beaver Creek Lodge in Logan. Its about an hour and a half north of Salt Lake. They rent sleds and there are a bunch of trails up here. They also rent guides and you can ride right from the lodge. http://www.beavercreeklodge.com/
I've guided for 6 years. I also have a cabin by park city. Let me know if you're interested.

Thank you all for the suggestions on making our trip from Michigan a sucess! Now the fall is here I'm really trying to nail down the details for this trip.
