i just moved to elk grove from out east and am looking to rent a couple of sleds around tahoe to see what its like out here in the mountains...any advice on where to rent and ride. thanks for the help.

Most places in Tahoe are guided, by the nose rentals.

Good introduction to Tahoe riding, Little Truckee Summit on Hwy 89, 15 miles north of Hwy 80. All kinds of riding out there from groomed trail, to pow meadows, tree riding, and hill climbs.
