Need advice 2010 Duramax

I tow 4-8 thousand pounds with my 09 duramax with a 90 horse efi live tune all day long. 60 horse won't be a problem whatsoever. If you have any long uphill pulls just stay out of the go pedal and keep a steady pace. I have had 5 duramax's now and never a problem with any of them.

Same as noob the duramax is a proven motor and they tow fantastic. They only thing is u should have a Pyro or just ease it up in the long hills. That's a good chip u got. I love my h&s in my 6.4

A 60 hp chip is nothing. I'm assuming it's the lowest setting on the programmer. I ran the same thing in my 09 with no problems with temperature but I switched to efi live because of the way the H&S programmer made my tranny shift it sucked. But a egt guage is very inexpensive to know exactly what you are running on those big long hills. Also if the truck gets to hot the duramax will go into limp mode and the check engine light will come on before tearing anything up.

Yeah towing with 60hp is fine. I leave my chip @+200. And tow all the time. Just have to use common sense. Mine is a cumminz tho haha

local tech at the dealership said 50hp tunes and below don't even worry about egt, anything over 50 he recommends a gauge for it but 60 eh id drive it and not worry about it.
