Need a new lid. Shoei vfxw or Troy Lee Air??

Hey Friends,
Anyone have any input on either of these?? I tried both on and it felt like the TL Air fit a little nicer, but it may have just been the size I tried on. Any input is much appreciated!!!
Thanks friends!!!

i would go with the shoei vfxw or an Arai VX-3 pro but i haven't tried the troy lee

I have a Shoei MT V-Moto a couple years old, quality, fit, and features are great, the newer VFXW looks quality as well, can't go wrong with Shoei. I'm sure Troy Lee is good as well, buy what fits and has the features you are looking for, oh ya' price.

I would recommend the TLD they are a very nice helmet. I like mine fits perfectly.

I wear a VFX-W and its awesome. It has one of the coolest features out there safety wise, the cheek pads have a quick release on them. If you end up with a neck injury you can be placed in c-spine control before they remove your helmet. Also if you have a tall forehead or just cranial gigantism of any sort, the shoei is definitely your best bet. Do some shopping around too, I got mine off BTOsports.com for $262.

love my tld lids, expensive yes but, you wont find a hundred others on the mountain or trail wearing "your helmet". rarely see a bunch of shoei's either so, from a purely vanity view, either are a good choice.

best thing i can tell you is take your goggles, and see what lid fits your gord, AND mates with the goggles you use, for sealing surfaces. then make your choice. ski
