3 outta 4 '12's in my ride group have all had major engine failure before 575 miles. Has anyone found any options for aftermarket drop in motors or big bore kits or even a way to mount an E-TEC in a pro chassis? Need something, just don't believe in this power plant any longer. 4 th guy in our group doesn't even wanna take his out for fear of a heli ride as all we ride is Revelstoke BC. We all love our pros WHEN THEY RUN. 200 miles of good running followed by several months of arguing with dealers trying to fix what they refer to as a manifestation of our own fears has worn thin. TPS adjustments is all they did for us after complaining about a bad bog and falling on its face and general poor running condition. Mine lasted 15 min after the last TPS adjustment then down to one lung and won't even move itself, moves by forklift only. 453 miles pretty sad. Oh and it is stock no bolt on's what so ever.
Sorry for the delay gentleman but I was out riding not blogging....... But after a dealer change and 5 200 mile round trips back and forth to cochrane I've got new TPS sensor and engine harness motor was "fine" fouls plugs religiously due to over fuelling. Dash lights still don't come up right away and I still get a low idle. Put an SLP high flow dash vent kit on, V-force reeds, and an MBRP can and tuned at the dealer running 20% VP C-12 with shell 91. Got an additional 450 miles and she blew up on the trail coming out of Silent Pass near Golden BC. Still runs drug it out to be safe. PTO plug is brown MAG side is frosty aluminum color. No dash lights or anything just an odd sound like loose change in the dryer and no power. Another member of our riding groups 13 let go at 500 exact same way in January. That's 9 trips to the dealer in 900 miles for mine. Everything for all of us has been warranty so far whole new motors from the crate everytime for the major failures but we're all plagued by issues with reverse not working dash light being sporadic some kill switch malfunctions. We're all mid 20's we like the steep and deep and the more trees the better. A couple of the fella's are getting to the 100ft+ mark on their cliff drops so for those of you skeptical and talking crap coming on out. We wreck everything we touch and I've rode em all and wrecked em all but a 500 mile average between when the sled is un rideable regardless of why is getting old that's 6-7 days of riding pretty lame. I agree, I should get 1000 miles at least.......gonna take it in tomorrow see what the doctor says. Might just have to call PAR and forget the warranty all together.
