need a loan for sleds

Not to be an ***, but you should really consider saving up to buy toys for cash. If the banks won't give you a loan, there is usually a good reason. You are basically asking for a private party to loan shark you....even if someone agrees to this, there are literally thousands of ways for it to go wrong.

I work in a business that puts people into loans all day long....just want lend some advice. There's plenty of time before next sledding season to save up....trim some expenses over the summer, put in some OT, get a 2nd job, whatever. Any loan anyone gives you for used sleds will be at such high interest, you'll end up paying double for them....

There are lots of folks that have to get loans for sleds. Not everybody can just drop 14k (fcuk, that's 1/2 the price of a decent truckon a new sled these days. For those that can afford to, good on you but there certainly is no reason to start in on those that have to get a loan. If they can make the payments that is good. There are many reasons that peeps may have to get a loan, I had to. All the money I had saved had to suddenly get put towards massive medical bills. I didn't want to sit out a season so I financed it. I had the money to make the payments so no biggie. I did manage to save up enough cash to pay off the ATVs, bike and a couple other bills this last Summer/Fall. I hope to put aside enough to pay off the sled this year, but who knows what may happen. The job market is trashed and good paying jobs are very hard to find. Plus OT isn't readily available now, due to companies cutting back to save $$. Those peeps that do still have full time jobs are probably lucky to be getting in 40 or not getting salaries cut.

Try credit unions, sometimes their lending guidelines aren't as stringent as banks if you become a member. I really doubt that you will get a private party to loan you the cash. Also there are plenty of legit lenders that work off the Net, just do a search.

Not saying getting a loan is a bad thing....just saying if the banks won't approve you, there's probably a reason.....or multiple reasons.

Took me several years to save up the cash to buy our new sleds this season.
But I STRONGLY agree with the others.

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PAY CASH!!

If you have to finance your toy, you really need to ask yourself if you can really afford it.
