what year is the pump gas? How many miles? What type of riding do you do? Where do you ride? Prices for both of them. 2010 you do get the warranty

If it is a BD Turbo on an 09 then go that way but the pre 09 M sleds are a bit porkey, so a diet is in order to get them to handle the same. Also depends on how and where you ride, but that said I love my 163 D-8 Turbo in the trees just as much as the shorter M 1000.

I would not go with a pump gas set up on an 8 . It would be fun untill you saw a race gas 8 go by you with the ski's in the air . I rode mine on 91 last year , and i will be running Sunoco every time i ride it this year.

Get the 2010 and save up for a race gas kit for next year. If you do get the PG sled stay away from any race gas sleds you see . And do not ride one , unless you want a Sunoco habit.

i can get a 2010 for 10k and have not fount the right turbo sled yet i ride in the trees bondocking mostly i just sold my 07 m-8 162" stocker

THats the type of riding I do. With occasional high marking. You'll be really happy with the 2010. I'm coming off a 07 m8 with the SLP Pipe set up and when I rode the 2010s I was blown away and thats why I snow checked one. Besides you can always add a turbo later. Thats my plan:D

So Chriss, your saying that you liked the 2010 even tho you had a mod M-8,, was the 2010 faster? clutched better? did it feel that much lighter? was the motor more responsive? I have one coming as my spare and am curious?

Everything about the 2010 made my mod m8 feel like a wuss. I enjoyed my m8 all season with that pipe but as soon as I rode that 2010 I was blown away. I was climbing things that I didnt ever think of climbing on my 07. It was faster, more responsive, definetly lighter. Everything was better. Not to mention I really liked the telescoping handle bars with them all the way up. That new powerclaw is awesome. The sled gave me a whole different confidence. You're gonna love that 2010. It's gonna be a sweet sled. Pray for snow:beer;

Dano, no bash intended, but while I agree with your performance assesment of the RG TM8, I respectfully disagree with your advice in the choice of a PG TM8 for 25 Daytona. An 09 PG TM8 is a very, very good running sled. It will rule a 2010 M8, hands down. Many people don't want to run race gas. That is why the PG TM8 is so desirable, and a very good choice for many.

Again, no bash, just my 02 on the original question that 25 Daytona asked.
