I am looking for a good priced trail sled that you can ride in the mountains and on the flat. I don't want anything that you can only ride in the mountains because it's too powerful. Anyone have any ideas on a good sled??

Crossfire 600 or 700.
Polaris RMK or Switchback 700 - You can't break them. Get a 1999 or 2000 model for cheap.....
I'm partial to Yamaha just because I've had great luck with them. If you can find a 2000 or newer Mountain Max 700, they are great sleds. Bulletproof reliability, pretty good snap right from stock and easy to ride.

How much do you want to spend ? I see 02 and 03 Skidoo Renegades with less than 2000 miles selling for $3500 or less, they are a great trail machine and with the 136 track you can go off trail if you want. I put an 1.5 inch Camoplast Extreme track on a 700 Renegade, it drives fine on the trail but will still take me where I want to go (off trail) here in the Black Hills. The Rev Renegades are the same way but are bringing quite a bit more money.
