I purchased a 2005 M5 really cheap and am swapping a carb'd 700 motor from my F7 into the chassis. Can someone possibly post a picture of their motor in the sled so I can see where the servo motor mounts? On my F7, it is mounted to the oil tank but I don't know where the M7 and M8 servos are mounted. Thanks!

On the right side of this photo, the translucent servomotor cover is above the footwell with the two black APV cables running to it.

[RACINSTATION]

On the M5 it is going to be more toward the center than the above picture. This sled is an M8 or M1000 setup. The F7 motor switch, you will put the powervalve servo motor right next to the steering post. It will live behind the pipe and cylinders, in front of the gas tank.

I thought about putting it there like on the F7. I'm hoping to have the motor bolted in tonight then I can see how much room I have for the servo.

you should be able to run the cables between the cylinders under the head

ya, on the m7 the cables come out of the valves and down the front of the motor between the cylinders and back up the back to the servo that mounts right by the steering post in front of the gas tank.
