Is there a dealer on here or someone that I can give my VIN # to in order to see if it had the 09 ECU update. I bought my 07 m1000 used and I don't know if it's on it or not. Also, if I took a picture of my engine compartment could you tell if it had the 09 updates done to it? Heat shielding and what not?

It should have a different boot around the exhaust outlet, extra heat shielding around the oil fill, frog skinz on lower part of intake (on underside of hood), and a sticker on the ecm that shows the dealer name and zip code for reflash, along with the date. If it doesn't have a cat sticker with some handwriting on it, it probably hasn't been reflashed.
