Need a better grab bar, suggestions?

I've got an 03 700 RMK that has a riser and pivot adapter. The stock grab bar it tipped forward too much to be very usefull. The grab bar bolts to tabs that are welded on the bars so I'm thinking of cutting them off and putting on an aftermarket bar that clamps or bolts on. Does anyone have a set up they like?

Sounds like your bars are tipped to far forward just the bars not the riser Try a tad taller riser and tip the handle bars back down.

I second this answer, if you really like the handlebars where they're at you could try tying the grab bar back and heating it up with a heat gun, then let it cool and maybe it will stay bent back.

Take a look at the pictures, you'll see that the bars are slightly tilted back and how the grab bar it cocked forward. I'm not so sure that heating it will bring it back in line with the angle of the bars. That's why I was wondering what aftermarket bar people liked.

snow guy,

I am like you. I like to go with he highest riser possible that the cables and the wire harness will take and then i like to roll the bars forward. I like them a bit more forward and it even gives you another 1/2 to 1 inch on the height. I have mine rolled so much that the stock Edge grab bar was pointing almost straight forward....completely useless.

Tomorrow I will try to post a picture and confirm brand name of the grab bar I've gone with. I am completely satisfied with it.

Skinz Protective Gear makes the nicest IMO with the billet saddle clamps integrated into the strap.

WPS has a nice one as well as RSI and FabCraft

Here is a photo of mine which is the WPS. It sounds like the snow skinz might be pretty cool with the billet mounting. As you can see the WPS mounting is functional but nothing too fancy. You can also see from the photo how much i have rolled the bars forward and what that does to the stock grab bar mounting tabs......clearly doesnt work with the stock grab bar.

Both snow guy and go high fast have the bars rotated too far forward. With the bend of the stock polaris bars they are made to sit flat and curve towards the rider not the sky. if u put a higher riser on it and rotate the bars back towards u the grab bar would be in the correct position while maintaining the height u want. best bet would be to put some different bars on there with a new strap like the one go high fast has. better ergonomics for the hands with different bars. the polaris bars r made more for sit down riding.
