Need A Bent Handlebar Fix

Rolled my 2009 M8 in what could have been a much worse situation.

Adjustable handle bar was up about 3/4's. Rolled onto its side on hard pack but the handlebar stopped it from rolling all the way over into a never land of trees and very steep slope.:face-icon-small-sho

Left hand side of the handle is bent down but not too bad. Strangely, the adjustable post looks really straight.

Whats the best way to fix this? I've tried pushing up on the handle but she doesn't seem to want to budge........

I checked the threads for info but couldn't find anything. Thanks, Al

Bent mine the other day and I just pulled reel hard and bent the one side back up. I rode on them for 2 days, seemed strong i could lean on them and they didnt bend. I replaced them after that trip, I had a friend cut the inside of hit leg from broken handle bars and had to get stiches. So in my opinion it is not worth trying to fix them for that reason.

I bent my steering column and by the time the new one came in I was already used to the bent one. so just ride the hell out of it and in about 200 miles you wont even notice

This year with the lack of snow you have a good chance of bending it back straight the easy way. I bent my post and bars when I smacked a rock after a 5 mile ride... then 5 miles later I smacked another rock and flew over the bars and it bent back straight as an arrow! I say ride it till it get so weak its going to break.

I'm with you. Bought an 09 late this season with bars already bent. Was going to replace them, but during a "father son" outing with my 4 year old, i was showing him how cool his dad was. I unloaded, ripped up the road, spun a doughnut. Ripped back to the trailer to do another impressive move, and ended up rolling the sled over once, and wala, bars were back to stock.

HA!

I am most prone to wrecking when I am showing somebody how cool I am too. When nobody is looking I'm Chris Burandt. In front of a crowd I'm a newb sometimes. LOL!

pipe

i just use a 5' pipe that wellfit over the grip and get someone to hold the other side.i'll be sleving my steering post.the bdx antislop holdsthe post better aswell.

I took my bent adjustable post out and used a dead blow hammer to hit it back until it was straight then reinstalled it.

went though all this too and ditched my adj post

heres my new setup

- wildchild re-enforced t top steering post with bxt anti slop bushing kit
- 10inch powermadd riser
- 09 sno pro 600 bars

absolutly makes the sled feel like the older sno pro 440's, much better....and alot more forward as well...best mod since the turbo

have a stock set of bars with grips and heaters if anyone needs them....not bent
