Neck Braces

Neck braces are a great peice of safety equipment. I wear a leatt brace. They are meant to minimize the risk of over bending your neck side to side and front to back, not too help you hold your head up. They do help a bit, but not much. One thing to keep in mind is...if you are not wearing your helmet, take off the brace. If you fall you could seriously hurt your neck.

i have actually got the same one havent been able to use it much on snow but have used it with racing and seems to work well but i have alway been able to freely move my neck on my sled and dont know how im going to like it yet.

X2 on the Leatt. I started wearing one when they first came out racing MX. I wear it for sledding. I had a buddy a few years ago brake his neck on a drop. He survived it but it was scary. Its not a for sure protection but just like any other safety gear it will help prevent damage. I reccomend this product for sure!

Whats your opinions on the below brace? Seems like it would still help limit the forward-aft, side to side motion without the extra bulk.

Is the Leatt brace worn over your jacket?
That brace you have a link to would help with some bobble head symptoms, They use them quite often for little kids motocross. but when that thing gets wet and cold it will be hard as a rock. The Leatt Brace goes over the jacket yes...It's meant so you don't break your c1-c4.

This company makes a very nice, and compared in price to the Leatt, a very inexpensive alternative. I ride with their ballistic jersey, but have been scoping out the RC-Evolution brace.... Seems to be about $100 cheaper. Food for thought.

go to rockymountainatvmc.com they have a big selection there and read all the reviews. just remember you're paying for quality. if you spend 80 bucks you'll be stuck with a very uncomfortable brace and never wear it. id just advise doing some research before buying

BTW that first brace is only 70 brand new on rocky mountain

It will work with a tec vest just make sure you try one on with the vest on. It will need to be made a little bigger. They have adjustments for the back piece and the latches on the side. You might need one that's too big for you to wear for motocross.
