Neck Brace Compatible Chest Protection

Seems like this topic comes up every season, and yes I have read through those threads. But, not many of them bring in the option of a neck brace.

This year I bought an EVS R4 brace and my current TekVest pushes up too much on the brace to allow adequate room to move my head. I love the protection of my TekVest, but just won't be able to make it all work together. I've been looking at going with an EVS Ballistic jersey, a Thor Impact Rig, or possibly a Leatt Airlift 3DF. The only one I've seen in person is the EVS, but haven't tried one on. Mainly looking for something that will work with the brace and won't be nearly as bulky as what I'm use to.

Anybody have any experience with any of them with or even without a neck brace?

Thanks in advance.

My experience is without a brace- I have an EVS lite jersey. It's comfortable and fits well to the body. Elbows are hinged so they move freely instead of flexing a piece of fabric. The jersey material is thin and thus breathes well.

My only complaint is the elbow pad caps are very large and do not fit well inside my coat sleeves. I have a few different shell only coats that fit the body portion well but start getting very tight in the arms as soon as my elbows begin to bend. I would reccommend taking whatever coat you normally wear to the store with you and check the fit in that area. It may not bother you.

I have no snow related experience but for MX. I have an atlas neck brace and bought a leatt chest protector thinking it would be a no issue fit. It works, but it's not perfect and at times the chest protector pushes up on the front, so I'm thinking the leatt protector probably won't work all that we'll with the EVS either. Best bet would be to test fit them if you can.

Poke around on some moto forums. I have leatte gpx and i got lucky, it fits my old chest protector well. Im guessing leatte brace and leatte armor would work the best but no experience so cannot say.

TekVest has a neckbrace compatible version of their race vest the problem with the way it works is you have to wear it outside of you jacket or have a special cut jacket for it to work properly.

The Ballistic jerseys work with neckbraces as well. They are not designed to it's just works out that way. Just adjust your brace to a bigger setting and it will work. It's not ideal as neck braces are designed to be worn directly on your back and chest so critically important to make sure you use the straps that come with your neck brace ( This is always the case unless you are using the race Tekvest that hold the brace in place.)

I run the Omega brace with EVS Jersey.
