This was printed in todays paper... FYI

CODY - The Bighorn National Forest has formally suspended commercial operations at two Big Horn Mountain resorts.

National Forest officials recently shut down Meadowlark Lake Resort and Deer Haven Resort over alleged health and safety violations.

Forest Supervisor Bill Bass on Tuesday suspended the resorts' special use permits.

He says the resorts' owner, Big Horn Mountain Resorts, has 30 days to correct the alleged problems or the Forest Service will begin the process of revoking the resorts' permits.

Bass says the suspension will be lifted earlier if the problems are taken care of.

The owner of the resorts has said that any problems will be repaired. He said a winter manager at the resorts allowed them to fall into disrepair and has since left the business.

No love lost here for Meadowlark - assuming same owners now as 10 yrs ago...

A guy I work with stayed a Meadowlark last winter.

He generally doesn't have bad things to say, but said it was a shethole.

We swore a few years ago to never again stay at Meadowlark. Then some of the group went out and stayed this year cause they heard it had new owners. Said it was even worse than before. Sorry they stayed. Couldn't even get gas sometimes.

yah you would just be better off to go North to Burgess Junction quite honestly

The Southside isnt that great of riding anyways

About time!!!! Meadowlark could be an awsome place, and a great place to ride. We stayed out there this year......wow not sure how a place can/could operate like they do.
We knew we were in trouble after we ordered to food, the waitor/cook carried a big *** bag of dog food threw the kitchen.....but that god we seen dogs run threw the kitchen....and that was a relief, imagine that.

Won't be staying there untill some that knows how to run a lodge is running the place.

No matter what you think of the place now, it will be a disaster for them to have the permitt revoked. Once that happens the greenies will never let it be re-issued.

Likely the very thing that will happen if the revokation becomes permanent.

Not many skiers up that side of the mountain, mostly sledders  and hardly ANY snowshoers.

That side of the mountain and the north side of the mountain are controlled by snowmobilers. Laramie, Tog, and Beartooths sing a different tune
