So I don't follow the left turn series at all but I am a Pastrana fan. So is 22nd a good finish for his first race?

Not a NASCAR fan, but I think they start 43 cars or so. For a first race, I would say finishing 22nd is not all that bad.

Not bad, but keep in mind, this was the Nationwide Series, made up mostly of drivers training for the Cup series along with drivers whose talents have diminished to the point that they can no longer bring their "A Game".

Furthermore, I believe he ran a handful of races in the truck series last year.
(Correct me if that is incorrect)

At any rate, we need to see at least a half dozen races to make a determination as to what his future holds.

Definately great for the sport.

You are incorrect. Prior to this he only raced in the K&N series as far as NASCAR is concerned. He was supposed to do a few Nationwide, and possibly some trucks last year but broke his ankle.

Thanks, I was not sure.
I thought that by just posting it on the internet, it would make it true!:face-icon-small-hap

Pastrana is there to bring a wider audience to the sport that is it. He will be no better than Patrick or Earnhardt Jr.. Just a cash cow that someone is trying to milk

How confident are you in that?

The guy has been successful in every type of racing/competition he has touched....And it isn't like he is doing this for the pay check.

He would have finished much better but sped on pit lane which put him a lap down. I think at one time he was up to 18th or 19th.

The fact of the matter is that he is starting this vocation at too old of an age.

It has been proven that very few can transition from one form of motorsports into NASCAR successfully.

I haven't watched for a while do to a sled addiction, but
The only way he is going to make something of it is if he drops everything else and focuses on NASCAR only, if he does that, someone will notice and he will get the tools he needs and prob do pretty darn well. He has the attitude of a winner but to be on the top you have to pic one to be on the top of.
I think the same of Jr. drop all the BS and do some racing like SR.

This is what he is focusing on. The guy has always focused on one thing to be good at....

What kind of tools are needed to turn left?

fast pit stops and a car that is good enough to win the polls. I don't even watch much nascar but I know that much.
Another big problem is Jr never really works with his crew over the off season he just kinda says screw it which is why their stops are slower. Not sure if its true, just what I heard.
