The first of two impacts was approximately 5:33 MT this morning. the second rocket is just behind to get footage of the particles that get ejected. A 2 ton rocket hitting inside one of the craters won't make much of a dent compared to all the objects that have hit the moon! We should be finding out soon if it had any ice in it or not.

NASA's budget is a drop in the bucket in comparison. The Augustine Commission got shut out with their recent report and the prototype rocket is already headed to the launch pad. First test flight is October 27th. If the ARES1X fails spectacularly then the program will be canned.

Going back to the moon could be considered the most biggest and most important program. Besides, we are already operating on reduced budgets on a yearly basis. And who else but us will keep the I.S.S. from falling out of orbit?

Apollo 11 back in 1969 might have come back with some dust but smashing a 2 ton rocket (This morning) will get more then what's on the surface!
