Narrowed Indy Lite

Hypothetically, how narrow could the front end of an Indy Lite be narrowed up?

I'm not sure I would be able to find shorter shocks, so given that the shock length and the trailing arm length would be static, could a couple inches be removed from each side?

VB,

Did you ever pursue this any further?

No

I bought a spare Indy Lite as a parts sled so I still have all the stock front end parts. I would be curious if I narrowed it up and left the shocks the stock length if it would narrow and lift the front end.

I've been contemplating the exact same thing.

It's kind of a catch 22 though, narrowing would obviously improve the ability to sidehill & the extra height gained at the front would allow us to drop the rear skid, improving deep snow performance. However the machine would certainly become more unstable. How much more unstable is the question though?

I suppose a guy could try it & if the pilot has trouble keeping the machine right side up, it could be put back to stock.

The mod. is definitely on the table for when the kids get bigger & can start jumping from side to side.
