K-Mod, Alt Impact, Z Bros, etc. how are you guys liking? I feel the stock stance on narrow setting provides great handling. Is the narrow front end too tippy?

Thought about All the above or Z Bros 39" also

I have the kmod 37", seems to be perfect. Couldn't tell a different down the trail compared to the stock 39". Made it easier to ride in the trees. Fit was excellent , comes with all new hardware, so no swapping parts from your stock ones.

Mine is still stock and I LOVE the stance but I don't trust the strength. So personally I'm going 39" Zbroz. Input from Matt Entz and Blaine Klawiter among others, the 36" Zbroz is way too narrow and really throws off the ideal balance of the whole sled. I wouldn't recommend a narrow stance on these sleds unless you're a smaller guy or girl. It's an aggressive chassis and balances top notch the way it is. Hope this input helps.

I love the 36" Zbros on the narrow stance of my Axys. For me, it really improved the handling of this sled. I am however getting some steering binding by using the longer "pro" evol's. They are out getting shortened and I'm hoping this resolves the binding.

Just finished up my alt impact 36" arms last night. I'll know more on the handling after this weekend. Sure is narrow and much tippier on flat hard ground

KMOD 37 on mine. Awesome product with excellent fit and finish. It handles well and goes down the trail just fine. Mostly, it is far more durable than the stock A-Arms which are pretty and that is about it.

Add me to that camp. I've gotten more used to the front end but the benefits don't make it worthwhile to me. Eventually I'll go back to 39".

Just got my set of K Mod 37 from Kevin- and setting the ski in the center position ( netural) ..This come from his recommendation- also Paul @ F N I said they found this to work the best-- couse it's splitting hairs- but not changing till I ride as my stockers I have left in the center- 400 miles- and like it to good to change it.

6' 210 lbs in the birthday suit!

I rode with Matt Entz last week and we talked about this a bit. I'm 6'2" 250 lbs with gear on. Seems a bit too tippy at the narrow setting for me with my 36" Alt Impact kit. I moved mine to the wide setting and I like it there. I rode Matt's sled for awhile with stock A-arms and I preferred the feel of mine.
The main reason I switched was due to the stockers bending so easy. I seem to hit a lot of stuff, so I wanted some stronger arms and figured I might as well buy 36" right away.

I'm on the fence on witch length to order for my sks. I'm 6' and about 220 lbs with gear on. Mostly tree riding some climbing. Depending on where I'm staying might have to ride 10-15 miles on the trail to get to the good stuff. It's a toss up on which brand to get also. Leaning towards alt impacts though.

Zbroz 39" arms with ZRP offset spindles and I dig it. Stable width but extremely nimble and nothing made of tin cans

I run the kmod 37" front end on my pro and love it. That being said, I rode a new axys stock and to me it felt the same as my pro with the kmod 37". I also rode and axys with the kmod front end with the ski's set in the middle. It felt great as well.

I considered doing the offset spindles, but the price is pretty high, and you don't get the benefit of stronger a-arms than stock. Also, I was able to sell my stock a-arm setup and that dropped the cost of my kmod setup in half. I think it would be hard to get much out of the stock spindles.

I installed the 36" alternative impact front end on my 2013 Pro RMK at the beginning of this season, and it's been the best thing to ever happen to my riding.

Is it tippier on the trail...absolutely. But it made controlling the sled a lot easier in almost all conditions.

Went back to stock width and holy moly - so much better. Trail performance is better but oddly this isn't where I found the biggest gains. For me, at 220-230 with riding gear on (pack, outerwear etc), I found the narrow front end to fall flat on its face when riding wrong foot forward (wants to tip way too far) but not tippy enough if riding more "old school" (eg feet on both sides).

Going back to stock width gives a much bigger more forgiving balance point for me.

Those considering going narrow, riding style and rider weight must be considered! I feel like I can ride again!

1) I still need to raise my shocks back to stock height which will help increase the "tippiness"
2) Even at stock width I'm running the skis in the middle position

I love my 36" stance. I'm about 200-205 in shorts. Unless I am on a steep sidehill making a slow technical maneuver I keep a foot on each side and ride it like a dirtbike. Yesterday I was climbing an average steep hill in powder that I couldn't go straight over the top in. I could sidehill one way, turn it up and sidehill back the other way without ever leaving both running boards. Also, downhill to uphill turns in powder on this same snow were very easy with a foot on each side.

36" is not the answer for everybody, It requires balance but I've found in our riding group that the axys is not for everybody either. Had a guy ride his axys for three days only to go back to a pro. This is a guy that is older (50s) and likes to use the mountain bar lol. No offense to him as he is a good rider, The axys was just too responsive for him I think
