His reply to a similar answer was "The private contractors in war actually can do their job more efficiently"
Impossible to prove that one either way, but think about how much of our tax dollars go into each bomb dropped.
That's a visual we really didn't need!

well believe it or not i think the govt does a better job of road maintenance..i don;t know about being more efficient though..
my observations have been that the private sector guys are often picking up a few bucks with their equipment doing other jobs and as a result often have to play catchup when a storm quickly moves in where as the govt employee is playing cards and ready to react..

they do a good job giving inmates ridiculously good life
their coastguard rescue guys are well trained and brave..
they have great public parks and utilities. Also, I enjoy having firemen and police
they have female teachers that interact ...really interact with the male students..
not enough! 
they send aircraft carriers to SRM to chew up and spit out in a couple days for his Mommy..
He was referring to the Federal Govt
Any branch of our military is a very good example of the exception.

But off the top of my head for any of the Four, Nothing but waste valuable tax dollars and resources.
Such as overpaid Town and County managers. Those are paid employees that basically do the same thing as the elected Mayor, Town Board (trustees) and County Commisioners.
Too much money on silly projects instead of fixing roads and bridges in need of repair.
I could go into lengthy detail regarding the local govt but that would take all day.

I agree. While Police is hard to Privatize, the FD is easy. I was a volunteer locally and none of our money came from taxes. It came from grants, fundraisers and billing people/victims not in our FD District that needed the services. IE, non-local drivers who wrecked and needed rescue, people who lived out of District.
How are you ever going to quantify that……………………Yes you can contract everything out but then you have to create a huge new department just to oversee all those crooked contractors that will steal you blind without constant oversight………..it’s impossible!
Everything associated with Katrina was contracted out…………..how did that work for you………….We are still paying contractors over that!
Easier than keeping a crooked Govt. in check.
