Myth Busted. 3" PC

What myth are you talking about? That it's supposed to be lighter than the 2.6?

Haha, got ya. Hoping the 153's get done soon. Hear they did the 162's first. Still need some real snow for it around here though...

Oh man I'm drooling. I'd like to test one with an X3 side by side. I've always been a PC fan. That thing is a monster.

That is awesome! My 162 2.6 pc was 60.6 lbs and my X3 is 61.5. That thing is light! It is going be sweet!

That is Wicked Awesome

I wished they made a 174 x 3" to fit my Kmod Skid. going to be a game changer, my 162 X3 had some negatives to it. but not many. i'm thinking there should more curve to the paddle near the center section, like the center paddles on the X3. VS a flat paddle all the way across. thinking the braking action might be poor on hard pack

The main paddle is tipped back pretty good... Kinda like the Attack 20 was. Much stiffer though. The fingers should help with the braking quite a bit...

Why did they change the paddle pattern when compared to the 2.25" or 2.6" PC? The little independent finger paddle is missing.

My guess is so they don't worry about flinging a 3" finger (2.6 is super strong though). I was hoping for longer in the middle and shorter fingers on the outside like I thought I saw in the preseason pics, but I see not. Still think this track will do damage.

What are you guys paying down there? Ridiculously priced up north here.

Retail is $1599

I think they left the outer finger off to keep the weight down. If it were exactly the same as the 2.6 pc, this track would probably be 60 + lbs.

The outer finger are just slightly shorter than the paddle... just like on the 2.6

I think that is roughly the shipped weight of my X3 as well... didn't weight it before it went in but I think these two tracks are going to be SUPER close in weight. Can't wait to see one in action on the snow... CO2.0 where you at? Need to do some sled swapping this winter to compare the tracks and steering differences.

Will be easy to compare the difference on the 2.6 and 3" PC since I'll have another 15 153 2.6 riding next to me this winter that I can jump back and forth on. I want to compare your sled to mine. Mainly cause it has a longer track and more horsepower. See if it's that much more noticeable in the deep. Just needs to snow. A lot. Right now.

We've got a 14 162" in our group this year as well.. finally get another cat in the group and get away from all these damn pro's!!

We'll hook it my friend. Snow is on the way for sure!

I'm guessing there are two reasons for the small finger paddles to be gone. 1. To keep from tearing them off. There was some lug damage observed on the prototypes in Cooke City during during spring testing. I'm not entirely sure if it was the small ones ripped off or the larger paddle at the time, but I think those would be easier to tear off. 2. Since the intended purpose of a 3" track is better deep snow performance, why not get rid of the lone fingers that are intended to help on harder snow for less weight?

The best price on tracks that I've found is on.
